Eclipse Ellipticals

Fitness Quest made a breakthrough with sales via TV and a toll-free number, followed by retail stores like Sears and Kmart. They targeted the low end market with affordable Eclipse elliptical trainers and other exercise equipment.

Eclipse elliptical trainers are made for light use only and their price never exceeds $1000. All models have heart rate monitors and exercising programs which is unusual for the price you pay. On the other side, durability of those machines is very questionable - you can compare the warranty with those of other manufacturers and see it for yourself. The thing with low priced machines is that you can get the model that will serve you well all the way through the entire warranty period or you can get a model that brakes after 10-15 workouts. It depends of your workout intensity and your weight, along with your luck factor. Big plus for Fitness Quest is their great customer service, as they react quickly and treat their customers with respect.

Using the experience they gained in the market, Fitness Quest recently started manufacturing a new line of elliptical trainers called New Balance. These machines are entering mid-priced range and are more reliable then Eclipse models. If you can afford one of those, we recommend you take a look at New Balance models.
