Horizon EX22 Review
New line of Horizon elliptical trainers for 2006. are lead by Horizon EX22. It's a low-priced elliptical trainer which stands out among the competition from Proform, Eclipse, Healthrider and Ironman. Horizon made a machine that can sustain medium intensity workouts with a price that is affordable to most users.
EX22 is a quiet piece of equipment, you won't have to listen to music just to avoid some irritable noise. The heavy flywheel, along with a magnetic resistance, provides smooth movement. The frame itself gives enough stability to the machine but it's still not suitable for more than light jogging. You also have 4 programs to choose from a console, enough to keep exercising interesting.
We must say that an 18" stride length is not enough for taller users, and anyone with 6'0" or more could have a problem with his back and knees. That's something you've got to be careful about, so it's best to try exercising on this model before you buy it. It is also recommended that you take an extended warranty - parts quality is good but after some time they'll need replacement.
