Ironman 500e Review
This low-priced elliptical trainer from Ironman Fitness offers great exercising variety with its features. This is something that will attract many people and 500e will get its share of the elliptical trainers market.
The machine itself is pretty heavy and stable, supported by a large solid steel frame. You will have a smooth workout without a need to restrain yourself in order to maintain a regular elliptic motion. It should be mentioned that stride length of 17.5" could be a problem for taller users to exercise in natural motion. There is another notable issue with resistance control - it's automatic, which means you can't manually change the intensity of your workout. We are not sure why Ironman Fitness chose this option. On the other hand, the resistance changes itself throughout 16 levels of intensity, which is a pretty good number for a low-priced machine like this.
This could be a great elliptical trainer if only the quality of the parts was better. Be prepared to hassle with little malfunctions and problems that will emerge in time. Make sure to get an extended warranty if you want use this model to its maximum.
