Octane Q35 Review
Q35 is the first model in Octane's Q series. It's made for home or light commercial use, which means it can sustain heavier users and intense workouts. Its price makes it affordable and we believe Octane Q35 will find its way to a customer.
The machine is very heavy which is good for stability and bad for mobility, so decide where you'll place it. You need to find a spot near the power outlet, but don't have to worry about the space in the room because it's not as big as some other elliptical trainers. Octane Q35 is made to be a durable machine, but often fails in that. There are many minor malfunctions you or your customer service will have to take care of. For example, Octane Fitness seems to have a problem with a flywheel on almost every model so they are giving free replacements to every customer who complains about the noise coming out of the machine. But then again, you may be lucky to buy a model that works perfectly and never have trouble with it. Take care of the maintenance, lubricate rails and moving parts with white lithium grease, and your elliptical trainer will last longer and won't produce noise.
When talking about features, the ergonomics of Octane's models are their best strength, especially the pedals that have 2" spacing, giving you that natural motion feel. Another great thing is the "X-mode", a set of randomly generated intervals that direct the user to perform cross training activities for one-minute intervals, with a two-minute rest period. In conclusion, Octane Q35 is an elliptical trainer that will satisfy many. At this price level, you should also check Nautilus ellipticals to see what your other options are.
