Octane Q45 Review
This is a high priced elliptical trainer that is a good competition to Precor and Life Fitness. It has many good and usable features, good durability and some options that put it ahead of competitors models. If Octane Fitness solves some minor issues with parts quality - and we all hope they will - then this model could be the first in their elite elliptical trainers offer.
As mentioned above, this elliptical has an interesting feature that make it special. Their name for that feature is SmartStride, which is really the option that allows you to change the stride length from 18"-23". Keep in mind that some Precor models have a stride length of only 17", which is short for taller users. With the option to change the stride length as you see fit, you can use additional programs that become available when you turn this option on. Another thing that sets apart this model is its resistance - it has been improved in order to provide a more natural and quieter motion. The resistance itself is hard on the user from the beginning, so you'll have to get in shape to exercise even at lower levels.
Be sure to try exercising on this elliptical trainer if you ever have a chance. If the feeling suits you after 10 minutes of your workout, then this should be your choice as this is a machine for the whole family, durable, with a variety of programs and an adjustable stride length.
