Schwinn 418 Review
Fine piece of equipment that comes from Schwinn Fitness. This model is making the competition look bad, really bad. A model with these qualities usually has a higher price than Shwinn 418. No wonder that this elliptical trainer has been voted a "Best Buy" in many magazines.
Among its most noticeable features is its magnetic resistance which provides a smooth and quiet motion. You can exercise in the same room where your family member is sleeping and it won't bother her. There aren't any power cords necessary for this models operation, so you can put it wherever it suits you. It is pretty heavy to move around, but that weight gives it the much needed stability. Beside stability, you will have a chance to experience good natural motion with an 18" stride length, suitable for most users. There are plenty of programs to choose from, providing a variety in an exercising routine. You can electronically change the resistance and incline of the machine. There are only 8 levels of resistance, and while it can bother some people, it's nothing to write home about.
Schwinn 418 elliptical trainer shows good quality of production, covered by a decent warranty. You might have problems with some wear parts that are only covered for 6 months, but that's not an alarming thing. As with other machinery, you need to take care of the machine, lubricate its moving (wearing) parts and keep the screws and bolts tightened. You also might want to take an extended warranty, as this elliptical trainer is worth having for a long time.
