Schwinn 428p Review
Schwinn 428p is an improved version of the previous model, Schwinn 418. There are some upgraded features and a couple of new ones which caused the price elevation, but this model still belongs to the mid-priced class of elliptical trainers.
The first visible thing, compared to Schwinn 418, is that the design has been altered. Next, the resistance is now electromagnetic so you won't need batteries to power the console. You now also have 16 levels of resistance, which is quite an improvement over the 418, because you won't feel the jerky movement when changing resistance. Exercising programs are cut to only 6 which is a bit odd, but you now have a wireless heart rate monitor that is very useful in a combination with heart rate programs. And last but not least, you have an option to engage different muscle groups by alternating between forward and reverse motion.
For a couple of hundred more than you would pay for 418, you get a bunch of features, reverse motion and better warranty with 428p. Something worth considering.
